230512.4 - Heraldic Blue
Although the layered squares were the main motif for this abstract piece, it was the colour choice, use of gradients and the patterning which inspired its title. As I worked I was reminded of heraldry - banners and the blue and orange colours seemed to reinforce that feeling. Perhaps the blue could also be described as royal blue.
