The purpose of this  project was  to better understand how to create vibrant colour combinations when preparing artwork for large format printing which requires cmyk format.  Converting file from rgb to cmyk can give disappointing if not disastrous results.

I've always been interested in the cmyk colours and often chose them for my palette when I painted physical paintings.

Working these days in photoshop I have adopted the  sRGB format to maintain stability of colour between web and print.   With large format printing becoming necessary in the future I've had to explore ways to produce images which will also hold for larger work.

My solution has been to open up cmyk colour swatches which have the 4basic colours at the top of the swatch window.

I've used only those 4 colours for these images.
The first image shows horizontal stripes I've treated with  gradients made from varying combinations of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black.

Because of their overall appearance I'm calling them CMYK wrap
