From the beginning of this work when it was simply a random mix of lines and shapes the vertical 'pole' stood out and became the central motif for it. The title eluded me until the end and then it was obvious, to me anyway, that the shapes in it were like flags, flying from the pole, rod or staff - so Flagstaff it became.
