Impromptu Series - Ink on Arche Paper

The work was to be on 300 gsm Arche paper, the medium to be coloured ink applied using quil, pen, brush and spattering with toothbrush on wire mesh. The colours were restricted to complementaries - black and white (of the paper), orange and blue and smaller amounts of magenta and yellow ochre. The design was free form - commencing with random shapes in an area which I had masked out

IMPROMPTU SERIES:
These works were inspired by an invitation to artists to submit work to the "Friends" of The Perth (Western Australia)  Bone & Tissue Bank Art Exhibition in 2010.
At the time I was experimenting with composition and set the parameters for a collection which would hopefully yield 4 pieces for the show.
