This work was inspired by the mark left on a paper by an ecoline ink bottle. I'm not sure when it had happened but when I discovered it this week I took a raw photo of the stained A5 paper to add to my collection of organic imagery.
The photo became the starting point for the new piece with a vector construct placed to become a 'marriage' of opposites - organic and construct. There have been a few versions but ultimately I came back to the original one which had focused on the ink pot square shape marking.
It's an odd work but I'm satisfied that it tells the story of the bottle and the unique nature of ink markings.
