These drawings are part of a set I drew in 1984. I used coloured pencil on a variety of coloured papers - mostly black though.
I have always been interested and inspired by the interior landscapes of leaves, or bark, or rock face. The macroscopic view of life. I prepared this set to be exhibited at the Fremantle Art Centre, Western Australia.

The following set of drawings was done in May, of this year as a remedy for artists block. I needed a starting point for the new work I was keen to do in the new studio. The remedy was to select a favourite medium - pencil for me - and simply start working on a favourite subject. I have a collection of found objects - bark, leaves, rocks, pebbles so I chose from that collection to begin the creative process.
