'Inverse' - 'opposite or contrary in position, direction, order, or effect' or 'something that is the opposite or reverse of something else'
Inversion is an interesting and useful design tool which I use a lot in my work.
It has been used extensively in this abstract work which comprises a limited number of components - two complementary colours plus black and white plus a single shape and a linear design.
