'Mandala Variations'
These digital images are variations of one theme and one artwork which took on the appearance of a Mandala as it was being created. I saved as I worked, not wanting to lose a particular look.
I consciously avoid symbolism in all my art so it came as a surprise to see this development.
Colour was added only after the greyscale composition was near complete. The mood of the image changes dramatically with each of the colour schemes. Since the Mandala is interpreted by some as an expression of the Self it might be that I'm revealing something of my nature as none came out as the final statement.
I'm not sure if any are actually finished.....
