Perhaps all my works could be described as illustrations of the thoughts I've had while creating them.
This is especially true of 'On a Whim' - which is titled to describe my approach to creating it.
As I worked I thought about the choices artists make when they begin any new project/work, e.g. subject matter, perspective, medium, approach, size and style.
I also thought about the possibility of using intuition and instinct instead of textbook decisions when weighing up problems throughout a work's creation. Ultimately inspiration ought to be the guiding principle in any work.
