The base colour for this series of 5 images has been blue - in digital terms hex # 0000FF or sRGB 0, 0 255. The profile I use is sRGB as it adapts well to the web, to the various screens and to most print media requirements - magazine print or large format being the exception where CMYK is required.
Until now I've used the familiar colour palette from my past experience with physical mediums. As an experiment in the 'primarily blue' series I established the digital codes for primary and secondary colours - simply blue, purple, green, yellow, orange and red - ignoring the vast range of colour books on offer in Adobe.
'Carmine' gave me the idea to select one colour as my base colour for the artwork. I have enjoyed working on coloured ground in the past - with pastels, acrylic, or oil - so was inspired to do the same in Photoshop.
In each work my focus has been to LOOK | SEE | FEEL | SENSE - in much the same way we appreciate music it would be Listen, Hear, Feel and Sense.
