'Refuge'  - an abstract thought
At this time there will be many artists around the world who will be experiencing the therapeutic value of working at their art.  At times of crisis I have always sought sanction in my art as it enables me to concentrate on the task of design  rather than problems beyond my control.  Any form of  productive occupations can achieve this and help to alleviate stress.  There is always a buzz when a work is completed.  It is not an escape but a haven to access whenever its needed.
The title is to remind me of the value of creativity.
Nothing in the work is without meaning to me -  the patterns representing the patterns in Life which we try to understand,   the circle spiral representing Chance and Fortune,  the grid and box forms are attempts to find the logic to what is happening and  the possibility of solutions.
This is the value for me in a seeking the safe haven  my art making provides
