'Anthropomorphism is the attribution of human traits, emotions, or intentions to non-human entities. It is considered to be an innate tendency of human psychology.' Wikipedia
Since childhood I've regarded non-human entities in this way - I'm sure many share this habit. But I have only just realized that I also regard the abstract elements in my artwork the same way.
I confess that its a relief to know that I'm not that strange! So I will now happily breathe life into the cast of characters which inhabit my pictures.
