The Portal - Take 2
During a fortnight's break from work to recharge my energies I thought a lot about the direction I'd like to take when I resumed work. Beginning afresh, I revisited a work I'd created in May 2017 which I always felt hadn't fully express my meaning. I decided that colour was the issue - and that converting it to grey scale, might help to strengthen the image/ composition - colour no longer distracting the viewer.
My conclusion on completion of the change is that the intention of the work can determine whether I use colour or not. As in film - where a story is better told in Black and white.
