The title of this work is to remind me of the value of Looking. Looking at the world around me, looking at my artwork in progress, and looking at the finished piece.
Just as I imagine composers listen to the sounds around them, to the sounds they are creating and the sounds of their finished work.
The dominant shape used I saw in my mind's eye rather than reality, the web pattern was inspired by patterning in a footpath which had caught my attention while on a walk.
I combined these two elements in this composition adding the wavy line work and square patterning for ornamentation.
