This work is the first in which I'll be consciously exploring the concept of relationships - connections, associations between similar or dissimlar objects. In The Trail, the relationship is between the circular shapes which trail across the picture plane and - on its own - a spiral shaped object. Mostly all connections in life are accidental happenings and that's what makes them interesting. I am interested in finding ways to connect seemingly unrelated motifs which will maybe result in this abstract image having a narrative.
