Inspiration can come from many sources I find. It can also dry up through many circumstances like when the preparation for an exhibition or commission is complete or when there's a change of personal circumstances. Both of these can have an impact on artists motivation to work.
When this has happened for me in the past I have sometimes gone to the material I've kept in visual diaries - looking for threads of ideas which might provide the impetus for a new line of creative thinking.
I'm wanting to do this again to remedy my loss of inspiration during these challenging times and have assembled all my visual diaries dating from 1976 to 2020 to mine for ideas which will re-charge my batteries.
