Web of Colour v2 2021
I posted Web of Colour earlier this year - this version came to my attention recently and I thought it ought to be posted as well.
The accompanying statement for the original version also applies for v2 - perhaps more fitting as well.
'Every so often sculpting with colour becomes the driving force behind a work. I was originally inspired to do this as an art student over 40 years ago when I developed an interest in the work of Kandinsky. Perhaps it will remain a challenge until I shut down my computer for the last time. My palette was minimal in this work but by using gradients I was able to create many more - and in my view a complete range of pure colour. By setting some parts of the gradient at 0% opacity additional effects have been created. '
